FIRE BAN ACTIVATED: May 17, 2019 @ 10am – Ministerial Update: June 7, 2019
No burning will be allowed within the MD of Peace No. 135. The fire ban has been put in place as a result of the extreme fire hazard. Any fires currently burning must be immediately extinguished.
The fire ban includes the following:
- All Fire Pits
- Charcoal BBQs
- Tiki Torches and Turkey Fryers
- Burn Barrels
- Any burning resulting in smoke, flame or sparks, AND
- Recreational Off Highway Vehicles (OHV) use is prohibited on public lands at this time
Propane firepits, barbeques with lids and camping stoves are allowed if they are attended.

The fire ban will remain in place until further notice.
