2020 North Peace Stampede – has been cancelled this year due to COVID-19
Normally, the North Peace Stampede would be held annually on the first weekend of August. The Association started in 1956 and will continue to bring great entertainment to the Peace County in 2021. The stampede will be held at the Lac Cardinal Sports Grounds located in the MD of Peace #135 just outside of Grimshaw, Alberta.
Over the years the stampede has had many different aspects to their show from magical half time shows to music performers. There’s also been demolition derby’s held in the past but one thing has always stayed the same. We will be planning for 2021 so stay tuned!
The North Peace Stampede will continue to bring great rodeo entertainment to the peace country in 2021. Along with the Canadian Professional Cowboys Association and the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association, the NPSA will once again draw professional cowboys and cowgirls of all calibers to compete as they strive to make it to a future Canadian Finals Rodeo in Red Deer.
Alongside of the Pro rodeo are normally the thoroughbred chuckwagons which have been a big part of the North Peace Stampede over the years. While being absent for some years they are a crowd pleaser. You will find these wagons thundering around the track in the evening following the afternoon performance again, so stay tuned for the event in 2021.
And of course we will miss the West Coast Amusements Midway which everybody of all ages enjoyed when there was a break in the action in the rodeo arena.
