Community Advisory Committee (CAC) for Gravel Pit Operations

As a response to the Shaftesbury Trail Study, in 2015 Council established a Community Advisory Committee for Gravel Pit Operations. The purpose of this committee is to review, address and provide communication on all matters relating to sand and gravel extraction and processing in the M.D. of Peace No. 135 and its impact on the community. The Community Advisory Committee consists of Council members from the M.D. of Peace and the Town of Peace River, representatives from each gravel pit operator and up to 5 public members from the M.D. of Peace and the Town of Peace River. The Community Advisory Committee has been holding evening meetings once every 3 months.

If you would be interested in serving as a public member on the Community Advisory Committee, you are invited to submit an application to the M.D. of Peace office or via email to bjohnson@mdpeace.com (see below for application)
