Strong Creek Park offers a serene camping experience nestled at the mouth of Strong Creek, just 8 km south of the Town of Peace River, Alberta on Shaftesbury Trail. Whether you’re looking to set up camp for a few nights or spend a day enjoying nature, Strong Creek Park has something for everyone.

Campsite Booking Information

To book your campsite at Strong Creek Park:

  • Fee: $10 per night with a 14-day maximum stay.
  • Payment Methods:

Booking Process

  1. Fill out the Camping Application Form: Please download and fill out the Camping Application Form (PDF) and send it to admin@mdpeace.com.
  2. Submit Payment: Once you have completed the form, submit it along with your payment. Payment can be made:
    • By Cheque, cash, or Debit (at the M.D. Office)
    • Interac e-transfer to m.d.peace135@outlook.com (Specify “Strong Creek Camping”)
    • MasterCard, VISA via OptionPay – Pay Online Here (fees apply)
  3. Receive Permit and Receipt: Upon receipt of your completed form and payment, a permit and receipt will be issued to you.

Summer Activities

During the summer months, Strong Creek Park is an ideal destination for camping enthusiasts and day visitors alike. Campsites are rustic and available at $10 per night. Each site includes access to washrooms, water, and a sheltered kitchen area. Enjoy a leisurely stroll to the nearby Peace River for sunbathing, paddling, or fishing. Picnic tables are available for day use, and there are excellent facilities for children and scenic hiking trails throughout the park.

Winter Activities

In winter, Strong Creek Park transforms into a winter wonderland, perfect for snowshoers and winter hikers. The campground along the river remains accessible, with fire pits available for winter picnics. Kids can enjoy the playground even in snowy conditions, making it a great spot for families year-round.
